GBJ Time Capsule 1 - 2021 Predictions

Post your predictions FOR 2021 here. Instructions down below.
I suggest pizzaboxer/KJF let the community edit their posts if they want to add more!
I stole the Marble Blast Community's new box to bury these predictions for 2021, and to make sure we know what it is when we dig it up (we don't want anyone thinking it's some sort of bomb...or is it?)

To start, here are my predictions!
GOODBLOX
1. A customized egg hunt simulating 2009 (since there was not one on ROBLOX) will be made. +5 points if more than ten eggs created.
2. I return here at least five more different times over 2021
3. A staff member who was fired is hired again
4. There are three new image moderators added to the site.
5. This web site breaks heavily at least once this year.
6. GOODBLOX is played by a YouTube Celebrity. +10 if they play one of my levels.
7. There are more retextured items than newly created items this year
8. A staff member leaves to pursue their future in real life.
9. Limited items are added. +1 if the community becomes like ROBLOX if this happens
10. A GOODBLOX merchandise shop opens. +1 if it's on Etsy.
Real Life
1. I transfer to a four year university and graduate from my current institution with honors.
2. I capture 200,000 Pokémon on Pokémon GO. (365 times 500 = 182,500 which would be more than enough if I were to do it this way). Currently 103k...
3. I finally see one of my best friends I’ve not seen in seven years. We spend the entire summer together.
4. Only a few things are cancelled due to COVID-19 for me.
5. I purchase a C6 or C7 Chevrolet Corvette.
6. (Yes, it has re-opened again and as always I am going to try.) — I become widely known/famous on BrickPlanet. +5 if I become a staff member.
7. I win something REALLY humongous this year.
8. I’m still together with Tawny.
9. I finally change my legal name via petition of my state's Superior Court.
10. I actually learn how to code Java and PHP properly from the time my post is created to 12/31/2021 at 11:59pm. |

Miscellaneous
1. BrickPlanet has returned once again, and it has never lasted for more than a year. This time, it will last for a year.
2. The coronavirus vaccine is distributed to the majority of the world before June 1st, 2022.
3. The Renault Trezor is actually produced instead of solely being a concept car.
4. Donald Trump is convicted and thrown in prison for more than ten years.
5. I’m still going to keep hoping for Super Mario Sunshine II, even if I doubt it will happen. SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE II WHERe?
6. YouTube mysteriously recommends one of my videos to everyone (a.k.a “Welcome back to another episode of What’s in my Recommended!”). +10 if it's one of my If the Video Ends series videos.
7. But wait - Waluigi finally gets his own official Nintendo game? ...PLEASE? +5 if it has to do with cooking
8. General Motors brings back a homage to the Saturn Sky and/or Pontiac Solstice. +2 points if a V8 engine (or greater) is the engine of that car model.
9. The App Store tells Niantic to change how Pokémon Eggs work because they are similar to “loot boxes” which are gaining widespread criticism and legal action around the United States.
10. And now, for my dark prediction: COVID-19 mutates into something not even more deadly, but what’s even worse: this mutation hinders vaccine progress.

I predict:
IRL:
- Everything you said related to Pokemon Go
- I complete the Italian tree on Duolingo, and go to Italy again to see my relatives
- We get back into the swing of things in person soon. Though my school already said we're going back in March, so this wish was already partially granted (unless something happens)
- If the above happens, I spend the whole summer playing Pokemon Go with my friend who wasn't able to hang out this entire year due to COVID-19 and watching movies with friends at the theater
- I learn more about computers, programming, and technology
- I stay in touch with Aunarky despite him moving away from old Roblox
- Highly unlikely, but I happen to meet Jiquor in person, finding each other at a raid in Pokemon Go
Goodblox, Roblox, etc.
- Roblox will remove gear (or at least it's interactivity in games)
- I finally learn modern Roblox development, and maybe web development too.
- The 2006 client is still not found and Roblox Client Search is revealed to be gone for good
- Goodblox continues to be good if not better
- Jiquor leaves again after this stuff, but will come back in early 2022 to look back on the time capsule/start a 2nd one
- I continue making games on old Roblox, though maybe at a slower pace
Other video games
- Hytale will come out this year like they said, no delays to 2022
- The next Sonic game will either be a remake of Sonic Adventure, a sequel to Sonic Mania, or bad.
- Cybershell continues making videos and will not ghost us again
- Nintendo reveals the Switch Pro
- Or at least has a lot of games in their lineup
- Dr. Eggman or another Sonic rep is one of the new SSBU DLC characters
- Toontown: Corporate Clash teases the 1.2 update
- Toontown Rewritten continues not adding content
- Trailers for the Sonic movie sequel and Minecraft movie are released
- I was gonna say a Sonic 1 prototype was finally found, but looks like they already got it for the new year and the reveal was AWESOME :)
That's about it. Let's see if these come true or not. |
